Second Cour Trailer Reveals the New Cast and Theme Songs – Mudcreep

One of the most unexpected successes of the Autumn 23 season is now The Apothecary Diaries.

It was announced after the first season’s episode 12, that there will not be any further episodes of the show. Fortunately, the show will return with a straight two-season run of season 1.

An anime teaser for “The Apothecary Diaries” was aired by TOHO Animation. Crunchyroll will stream the anime’s second cour, which spans a quarter of a year, starting on January 6.

Episode 13 will mark the beginning of Part 2, which will pick up where Episode 12 left off. Maomao’s official entrance into the Imperial Palace will be seen in episode 13.

Future episode snippets and brand-new theme songs are teased in the video.

The mesmerizing opening theme, “Ambivalent,” was sung by Uru, while the gripping closing theme, “Ai wa Kusuri” (Love is Medicine), was performed by Wacci.

New cast members were unveiled on the anime’s website: Takuya Kirimoto will portray Lakan, the strategist, while Kaori Nazuka will portray Suirei, the enigmatic courtesan.
